Watch D.O.G.S.
Watch D.O.G.S. is a one-of-a-kind, school-based father involvement program that works to support education and safety.  It began in 1988 and has grown into a nationally recognized program that has brought hundreds of thousands of fathers and father figures into the school classrooms and hallways across the country, creating millions of "in school" volunteer time and having a tremendously positive impact on the education process.
Who are Watch D.O.G.S.? You are fathers, step-fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day a year at Rucker Elementary.  You may be asked to read, work on flash cards, play at recess, eat lunch with students, help with car line duties, or other tasks assigned by the school principal or other school administrator.  An official Watch D.O.G.S. shirt is required to be worn on your volunteer day and can be ordered directly from the Watch D.O.G.S. Dogstore.  You may choose any style.  Military, policemen, & firefighters are welcome to wear their uniforms instead.
